Zero Hour, High Wood.

This week at club saw me,Dave,Rob and Matt had are first try out of are High Wood game we are hopefully looking to run at a few shows next year.
High Wood was part of the Somme offensive of 1916 so will fit in well next year being its centenary.
The game we played last night was run on a 6 by 4 table but we hope to use a slightly larger one.Are game had the Germans defending there trench line being attacked by the British who force was twice as large.
Here’s some pictures.
The Germans ready themselves for the attack.

The pounding begins.

The British advance into a storm of fire.

There at the wire and prepare for the final push.

The Tommies are in the trenches, the German mount a counter attack but it is beaten off with heavy losses on both sides.

While this fight was going on the other flank had been completely cleared of German defenders giving the British Cavalry the chance they needed to charge forward and take the win for the allies.
Another cracking game, thanks chaps.Hopefully if things go to plan we should get some more practise games of this in over the next few months so watch this space :o).
Cheers, Steve.
